FIN-THRIN® — Bifenthrin 10% EC Insecticide
FIN-THRIN® is a broad-spectrum insecticide containing Bifenthrin 10% w/w, formulated as an Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC). It provides contact and stomach action against a range of important agricultural insect pests.
Technical Composition
Bifenthrin a.i.: 10.000% w/w
The formulation also contains an emulsifier blend and solvent ingredients, with the formulation made up to 100.000% w/w.
Mode of Action
Bifenthrin acts primarily through the insect nervous system. As a pyrethroid insecticide, it disrupts normal nerve impulse transmission, resulting in paralysis and death of susceptible insect pests.

Recommended Dose
• Cotton – Bollworm: 800 ml/ha in 500 L water
• Cotton – Whitefly: 800 ml/ha in 500 L water
• Sugarcane – Termites: 1,000 ml/ha in 500 L water
• Rice – Stem borer, Leaf folder & Green leafhopper: 500 ml/ha in 500 L water

Application Method
Measure the required quantity of FIN-THRIN® 10% EC and first mix it with a small quantity of water. Mix thoroughly and then add the remaining quantity of water while stirring vigorously.
Do not spray against the wind.

Precautions
• Avoid inhalation and contact with skin and eyes.
• Keep away from children, foodstuffs, animal feed, heat and flame.
• Store in a cool place under lock and key.
• Do not mix the insecticide with bare hands.
• Do not drink, smoke or chew tobacco while spraying.
• Spray in the direction of wind movement, not against it.
• Wear appropriate protective clothing, rubber gloves, boots and face protection.
• Do not use as an ultra-low-volume spray.
• Do not spray near water bodies.
• Do not use in areas where pisciculture or aquaculture is practised.
Poisoning Symptoms
Overexposure may occur through swallowing, inhalation or contact with the eyes or skin. Symptoms may include:
• Nose bleeding
• Tremors
• Convulsions
• Skin rashes
• Numbness
• Burning sensation
• Tingling sensation
The label states that these skin sensations are generally reversible and usually subside within approximately 12 hours.
First Aid
• Inhalation: Move the affected person to fresh air. Seek medical attention if breathing difficulty or discomfort persists.
• Ingestion: Rinse the mouth with water and give 1–2 glasses of water. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Seek medical attention immediately.
• Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing and wash the affected area. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
• Eye contact: Wash the eyes with clean water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention.
Antidote: Treat symptomatically and supportively.
Storage & Disposal
Store insecticide containers in a separate, dry, well-built and well-lit storage area away from other articles and under appropriate security.
Used containers must not be left where they can be reused. Dispose of packaging and surplus material safely according to applicable pesticide disposal requirements and the product label.
